1. Carrots are high in caretenoids which fight a whole range of cancers.
2. They contain lutein and zeaxanthin which help protect eyes and help to prevent macular degeneration and cataracts.
3. To get the most out of caretonoids in carrots, eat them with a little fat, as caretonoids are fat-soluble nutrients and are better absorbed that way.

Brussel sprouts contain sinigrin which suppresses the development of pre-cancerous cells. They are also high in isothiocyanates and sulforaphane, which help fight cancer.

2. It also contains indole-3-carbinol which helps to reduce breast and cervical cancer in women.
